CYDC are thrilled to be continuing their outreach project for students aged 10 and above. Our aim is to introduce outreach students to the type of work we and the company do – the technique and style as well as giving them experience in the creative side of dance. We’ll be working to make a short piece to be performed in the last session as well as delivering classes in different dance techniques. We aim to make it fun and educational – we will teach them skills through class and workshop tasks – we aim to develop their confidence to work in groups, to be creative and to enjoy dance more. The outreach project also allows students a stepping stone to audition for the main company in the future, in that you will work with company teachers and dancers.

Outreach will continue to run as of Monday September 12th 2016 in Bishop Gore, from 6pm-8pm and then continue to run every Monday for 9/10 weeks on the following dates.

Similar to the format of the course run by our sister company West Glamorgan Youth Theatre, we will be working towards creating a demonstration of work to be showcased to family and friends on the final session.

The course fees are £40 and can be paid on that first Monday evening too, or come and have a chat with us about paying in instalments if you would like. We accept either cash or cheques, cheques are made payable to West Glamorgan Youth Theatre.
