CYDC work on three projects a year as well as delivering continuous technique classes throughout the year:
- The Winter project involves making work to perform at the Dance House in Cardiff as part of the National Dance Company of Wales youth gala “Blaze” as well as performing in the Taliesin, alongside students of Gower College Swansea.
- The Spring project involves the creation and rehearsal period leading up to the main company performance at the Taliesin Arts Centre.
- The Summer project is a two week intensive rehearsal period working with a professional choreographer to make a site specific piece that is performed as part of the Dance Days Festival in Swansea, organised by the Taliesin (for more info see our Dance Days page.)

The Graduate Company is an offshoot of CYDC which was established in 2007, it involves students who have begun higher education training or are currently in work. Its aim is to nurture their talents, back at home in Wales as well as inspire the younger members of the company. They rehearse and create a piece in three days with a professional choreographer, as part of the Spring Project.
